Spring Destinations in New Hampshire | Epping, NH.

 

Spring break for many students is right around the corner. If you want to plan a family adventure for your kids but don’t want to go far from home, here are six spring break destinations right here in New Hampshire.

 

Hanover

There is still snow on the mountains in the spring. The Dartmouth Skiway is a great place to spend a few days hitting the slopes. If the snow is gone by the time you arrive, go hiking on the Appalachian Trail or go kayaking on the Connecticut River.

 

Dover

The city of Dover has a great shopping district with specialty stores where you can find unique gifts and interesting clothing. While here you can also visit the hands-on Woodman Institute Museum or the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire.

 

Keene

Get away from it all with a quiet trip to Keene. Take a walk around the Central Square to see the colorful sculptures and then go hiking along the Mount Monadnock trails. Finish off the trip with a visit to the Cheshire Children’s Museum.

 

Portsmouth

If you can’t get enough of American history, then you will love Portsmouth. It is home to the American Independence Museum and the Discover Portsmouth Center. You can also take a submarine tour of the USS Albacore.

 

Nashua

Nashua also has its fair share of history thanks to the Nashville Historic District. Here you can see spectacular homes from the 1800s. Spend a day going biking at Mine Falls Park and then eat dinner at one of the many great local restaurants downtown.

 

Manchester

If you want to spend your spring break in the city, Manchester is the place to go. Catch a show at the Majestic or Palace Theatres and then see some great artwork at the Currier Museum of Art. Manchester also a good nightlife with the Jewel Music Venue and Element Lounge.
